 INAUGURATION OF MOTHER DAIRY BOOTH AT POLICE COLONY, LODHI COLONY, LODHI ROAD, DELHI

A Mother Dairy booth at Police Colony, Lodhi Colony was inaugurated by Sunira Bassi, President of Delhi Police Family Welfare Society Delhi (Regd), at Police Colony, Lodhi Colony on 17th August, 2014.

The inauguration programme was graced by Joint CP, Administration, S. K. Gautam, DCP South, B. S. Jaiswal, Addl DCP-II South, Rajeev Ranjan, ACP Defence Colony Deepak Gauri, senior officials of Mother Dairy led by Sandeep Ghosh, CEO of Mother Dairy and members of the Police Family Welfare Society. The programme was also attended by several residents of the Police Colony.

Addressing the gathering Sunira Bassi mentioned that the families of police personnel play a critical role in supporting the policemen and women through their long working hours and stressful nature of work. further said that Delhi Police Family Welfare Society is avowed to the goal of contributing towards the welfare of families of Delhi Police personnel. It is in this context that the Society under the guidance of the Commissioner of Police, Delhi had decided to open Mother Dairy Booths in police colonies. She said that with the opening of the Mother Dairy booths in police colonies, families of police personnel will have access to wide range of quality products such as Plain and Pro-biotic curd, milk, lassi, frozen peas, etc. She highlighted that this initiative is aimed at making the lives of families of police personnel more comfortable alongwith providing them ready access to quality milk and food products. She also said that the mother dairy booth shall not only benefit the families of the police colony but also the nearby residents of Lodhi Colony.

Sunira Bassi thanked the senior officials of Mother Dairy and Police officers of South District for their cooperation in making the initiative of the Delhi Police Family Welfare Society a success. She added that a total of 25 such booths shall be opened in Police Colonies/Complexes in Delhi. While concluding her address, Bassi reiterated that the Delhi Police Family Welfare Society shall continue its untiring efforts to make the lives of police personnel and their families more comfortable and making them self-reliant.
