A HIGHLIGHTED CASE OF CRIMINAL BREACH OF TRUST BY JEWELLER’S EMPLOYEE SOLVED BY DELHI POLICE

The Special Staff of Central District , Delhi Police has arrested three accused persons namely (1) Bharat Nathmal Soni aged 30 years r/o West Vinod Nagar, Delhi; (2) Sachin Shinde aged 39 years r/o West Vinod Nagar, Delhi and (3) Shravan aged 39 years r/o Heera Sadan Building, Shivganj, Distt. Sirohi, Rajstan, aged 39 years and a highlighted case of Criminal Breach of trust of PS DBG Road has been solved in which complainant’s employee misappropriated gold jewellery of 25.7 Kg. along with his accomplices. Gold jewellery articles of approx. 600 gms. were recovered from them.

Complainant reported that one Bharat Nathmal Soni was working as Incharge of Head Office of his company at New Rohtak Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi and he used to carry Gold jewelry/bullion items from head office to branch office at Chandni Chowk, Delhi but he did not deposit back complete jewelry/cash in the head office. When the matter came in the knowledge of complainant, alleged Bharat Nathmal got disappeared. The complainant got lodged an e-FIR No. 455/19 u/s 379 IPC PS DBG Road. However, in view of the sensitivity of the case and theft of big quantity of gold, the case was transferred to Special Staff/Central District and section of criminal breach of trust by an employee was added in the case.

A team led by Inspr. Lalit Kumar I/C Special Staff comprising of SI Prem Kumar, SI Pradeep Kumar, ASI Yoginder Singh, ASI Baljeet, HC Rakesh, HC Satbir, HC Vinod, Ct. Mahender and Ct. Pankaj was formed under the supervision of Sh. Naresh Kumar ACP Operation Cell, Central Distt. The team swiftly acted upon the case since the misappropriated property was 25.731 kg. of gold jewellery.

During investigation, the team worked during day and night to nab the culprit. It was learnt that the main accused Bharat Nathmal Soni was frequently changing his location all over the India. Technical surveillance was also mounted by the police team. After a long chase of about one and half months, the team finally succeeded to nab Bharat Nathmal Soni from Rajasthan on 25.09.19. Further, at his instance, his two accomplices Sachin Shinde and Shravan were also arrested from Delhi and Rajasthan respectively and at their instance, a large number of gold jewellery was recovered.
