A team of Special Staff of Rohini District, Delhi has arrested one rewardee criminal namely Rohit Chauhan who was wanted in a sensational kidanpping for ransom case of PS Alipur. A reward of Rs 25,000/- on the arrest of accused has already been declared.
On 29.08.17, an information was received that a car driver alongwith his car was kidnapped from GTK Road near Singhu Border. On this information, a team consisting of staff of PS Alipur started search of the said car. The vehicle was traced by the police party near Shiv Mandir, Bakhtawarpur. On seeing the police party, the abductors tried to flee towards different directions. One of the abductor shot fired towards the police party and fled away, while another pointed out his pistol towards the police party and the family members of the victim. For the safety of police staff and public persons police has to fire at him. After a chase of some paces police was able to arrest two persons while other three managed to escape. Among these three persons two accused persons were yet to be arrested. Efforts were going on to arrest the absconding accused persons. Reward of Rs. 25,000/- was also declared on the arrest of this criminal in the case of kidnapping for ransom.
On 03.01.2018, ASI Rajkumar received a secret information about wanted criminal Rohit Chauhan R/o Vill. Shahpur Goverdhan Pur, Sec-128, Noida. On the information a team comprising of ASI Rajkumar, ASI Suresh, Ct. Shiv Kumar, Ct Vikash, under the leadership of Inspector Ajay Kumar (I/C Special Staff) under the close supervision of ACP Sh. RoopLal, ACP/Operations Cell, Rohini District Delhi reached near Palla Village and laid a trap. Smelling the presence of police he tried to escape but police apprehended him after a brief chase.
Accused Rohit Chauhan r/o Noida, Distt. Gautam Budh Nagar aged 25 years has studied upto 12th standard. He used to have a Mobile Shop at his native village in which he incurred losses. He was under heavy debt and wanted to recover soon. He alongwith his associates planned to kidnap any buisnesman for demand of ransom.
