Daylight armed robbery of 39 Lacs, solved by Delhi Police

A team of Special Cell led by Insp. Sunil Rajain and Insp. Ravinder Joshi under the close supervision of Sh. Lalit Mohan Negi and Sh. Hridaya Bhushan, AC’sP/NDR, has busted a gang of desperate armed robbers after a brief exchange of fire at Inner Ring Road, Near Khalsa College on 08.03.2019. Robbers fired at the police team to escape and police team fired back in self-defence. Three of the robbers were apprehended at the spot. Three robbers escaped in Brezza car. The Brezza vehicle in which the robbers escaped was later found abandoned from Patel Chest Institutions gate No.3, with one of its tyre flattened by the police gunshot. The arrested robbers are:
1. Ravi @ Pahalwan r/o Naveen Shahdara, Delhi, Age-36 Yrs
2. Vikram @ Vicky @ Chhotu R/o Distt Baghpat, UP Age 32 Yrs
3. Sarfaraz Khan @ Aqeel r/o, Gullushah Takiya, Shahdara, Delhi, Age 26 Yrs
The arrested robbers have executed the daylight armed robbery in the area of PS Ranjit Nagar on 05th Dec’18 and decamped with Rs 39 Lacs after firing at the vehicle and its occupants. Accused Vikram @ Vicky has jumped parole in Oct’17 in a case of PS Maurya Enclave (mentioned below) and Proclaimed Offender in multiple cases. Accused Ravi Pahalwan was absent BC of PS Shahdara and Proclaimed Offender in multiple cases. Sarfaraz @ Aqeel was also found involved in multiple cases of armed robbery. Special Cell continued with its efforts to arrest remaining members of the gang and today, arrested another gang member Vikrant Nehra @ Jeeva, who is also involved in multiple robbery cases including Ranjeet Nagar armed robbery case.

 The plan to commit armed robbery at Ranjit Nagar area was hatched by accused Ravi along with Vivek, Sarfaraz @ Akil, Vikrant @ Jeeva and Parvinder. The information about the movement of vehicle carrying cash was arranged by accused Vivek and they all conducted reconnaissance about the movement of vehicle. On the day of incident, Sarfaraz @ Akil, Vikrant @ Jeeva and Parvinder were on a Red Pulsar stolen bike whereas Ravi & Vivek were on a white Apache stolen bike. They were all armed with arms and ammunition. They intercepted the cash carrying vehicle near Pandav Nagar red light and decamped with Rs 39 lacs after firing few shots in the air and at the vehicle & its occupants as well.
