GANG MEMBERS OUT TO ELIMINATE WITNESS, APPREHENDED IN NICK OF TIME

On dated 07/03/2018, a team of Special Cell consisting of Inspr. Chandrika Prashad and Inspr. Ravinder Joshi apprehended two dreaded criminals namely Rovin @ Mohan r/o Distt. Sonepat, Haryana and Kartik @ Lokesh Kalyan r/o Bakhtawar, New Delhi in front of DUJ Apartment, Sector 14, Rohini Extension, Delhi near Rohini Courts. Two .315 bore pistols were recovered from their possession.

For last few months, incidents of firing on rival gang members/witnesses and efforts for releasing accused form police custody were being carried out by different criminals near Rohini Court or in Rohini Court Premises. A team was formed to identify & locate such criminals who are planning to execute the firing incidents near Rohini Court.

According to P.S.Kushwah, DCP, Spl. Cell, On 07/03/2018, one of the informer deployed for this purpose informed that some criminals belonging to gang of dreaded criminal Robin r/o Distt. Sonepat, Haryana, who is lodged in jail in murder cases and would be produced in Rohini Court for the hearing in case, will come to Rohini Court. It was also recorded that the gangster is planning to eliminate one of the lady witness of this case, in which Robin had murdered brother of that lady witness who was the witness in a murder case of their family friend namely Munna Singh. They had planned to subsequently murder another witness of this case, who is brother of lady witness. Accordingly, the team of Special Cell led a trap near the Rohini Court. At 11 AM, two suspects on motorcycle were spotted near DUJ Apartment, Sector 14 Rohini Extension, Delhi, who were apprehended by the team on being identified by the informer. From the possession of both accused persons two .315 bore pistols and 04 live cartridges recovered from their possession. A Case FIR No. 23/2018 dated 07/03/18 u/s 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Special Cell in this regard.
