With the arrest of three burglars namely (1) Mohd. Yaseen age-45 years, (2) Mohd. Nazeem age-22 years and (3) Deepak age -21 years and one receiver Ravi Raj age-26 years, the Special Operation Squad-II, Crime Branch, Sector – 18, Rohini, Delhi has busted a gang of burglars active in the area of Outer Delhi. The gang leader, Mohd. Yaseen is a registered Bad Character of PS. Bhalaswa dairy, Delhi. In the year 2013, he was arrested for murder of his own daughter. He came out on bail about a year ago and formed a gang of burglars.


In light of incidents of night burglaries in farm houses in outer Delhi, a team of officers of Crime Branch was constituted under Inspr. Satyawan comprising of ASIs Sukhbir, Sanjeev and Ravinder, HCs Sandeep, Jitender and Manish and W/Ct. Mamta under overall supervision of ACP Anil Dureja. The team developed information that Mohd Yaseen and his gang had been committing these burglaries.

On 07/03/18 at about 12:45PM, ASI Ravinder Singh found out that Mohd Yaseen along with his associates would be coming to Aipur to meet one Ravi Raj who bought stolen goods from them. A trap was laid near Lal Godown Budhpur, Delhi. At about 02:00 PM, Mohd Yaseen and his associates arrived in Mahendra Bolero pick up van No. DL ILM 7774. Mohd Yaseen along with Mohd Nazeem, Deepak and Ravi Raj were apprehended at the spot. One loaded .315 bore country made pistol was recovered from Mohd Yaseen. Another .315 bore country made pistol with 3 live rounds were recovered from Deepak. A number of house breaking tools including cutters, rods screw driver, monkey wrench, pliers, hacksaw and blades were recovered from their Bolero van. Accordingly a case, vide FIR No. 64/18 dated 07/03/18 u/s 25 Arms Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi was registered against them. The Mahindra Bolero car belongs Mohd Yaseen and his registered in his wife’s name.

On sustained interrogation all three admitted to having committed a number of burglaries in the area of Outer Delhi since November 2017. Eleven cases of burglary have been solved at their instance.
