With the arrest of accused Vishnu R/O Sitapuri Part-II, Dabri, Delhi, Age-28 years, the sleuths of AATS/Dwarka has busted a syndicate involved in supply and sale of illicit liquor in areas of Western,Delhi. 1954 Quarters of illicit liquor brought into Delhi from the neighbouring state of Haryanaby the syndicate were seized by the police when accused Vishnu was on his way to supply the consignment of contraband to bootleggers.
To curb street crimes and to enhance the sense of security among citizens in DwarkaDistrict, extensive patrolling covering widespread areas are being carried out round the clock by various police units.
On the early morning of 02.11.19, Insp RamKishan, in-charge AATS/DwarkaDistrict,directedthe staff comprising ofASI Sanjay, ASI Randhir, ASI Manoj, HC Jitendra, Ct Rohitash, Ct Rajesh, Ct Arjun and Ct Manish to carry out patrolling in the District. As they were carrying out patrolling in the area, the staff received information from an informer that a person has just now received delivery of huge quantity of illicit liquor at his hideout atGali No.1, Sitapuri Part-II, Dabri. The patrolling staff immediately reached the spot and saw a young man shifting boxes of illicit liquor into a room.
On noticing police, he tried to dodge them but was overpowered by the police staff. On enquiry his name and address was revealed as Vishnu R/o Sitapuri Part-II, Dabri, Delhi, Age-28 years.When checked by the staff, total 40 boxes (1954 Quarters) of illicit liquor were recovered from the spot.
