Negligence in working of R P Cell will not be tolerated – Mayor, North Delhi

North Delhi Mayor, Preety Agarwal today chaired a meeting of Remunerative Project Cell Committee of North Delhi Municipal Corporation. Mayor is ex-officio Chairperson of R P Cell Committee. Leader of House Mr Jayendra Dabas; Deputy Chairman of R P Cell Committee Mr. Tej Ram Phore; members of R P Cell Committee, Additional Commissioner (Revenue) Ms. Renu Jagdev and senior officials of R P Cell department were also present in the meeting.

Mayor Preety Agarwal said that no negligence in the working of R P Cell department would be tolerated as it a department which can pull North Corporation out of financial crunch. She said that it is unfortunate that revenue of R P Cell in the last one year has gone down by 50 per cent.

Agarwal directed the officials concerned to ensure that all regulations for running parking sites are complied with by the contractors and in case of violation, strict action is taken against both the officials responsible and the contractor involved. Mayor further said that all illegal unipoles and advertisements should be removed and action be taken against those found guilty of harbouring the corruption. She directed that officials must be punctual and attend the meetings on time as scheduled.

Leader of House, Jayendra Dabas said that responsibility of officials concerned should be fixed and action be taken if any irregularity is found in the working of the R P Cell. He said that this is must to make North Corporation financially self-reliant and increase revenue so that development works can be taken up and salaries of employees can be paid on time.

Tej Ram Phore and member of R P Cell Committee Vipin Malhotra reiterated the points made by Mayor and Leader of House.
