ONE NOTORIOUS ARRESTED FOR SELLING TWO OXYGEN COCENTRATOR MACHINES AT EXAGGERATED PRICE

The staff of STF and PS Shaheen Bagh ofSouth East District has arrested one accused person Sayed Faij for black marketing of medical equipments used for treatment of Covid patients. Withhis arrest two oxygen concentrators with accessories and one car has been recovered from his possession.

Sensing the gravity of recent incidents of black marketing of medical equipments used for Covid patients in South East District Delhi, a dedicated team comprising of SI Surender Kumar, HC Sharwan, HC Mahesh,HC Anil, Ct Manoj, Ct Amit and Ct Amrit led by SI Ram Kumar under the supervision of Ram Sundar, ACP/Operations was constituted to nab such types of violators. On 02.05.21, one secret tip was received from the informer that one person was demanding Rs. 1,20,000/- for one oxygen concentrator whose MRPis Rs.32,000/- per piece in the market. The alleged person will deliver thesame today near Kalindi Kunj park at 8:15 pm to his customer. On the receipt of this information, a raiding party was deployed near Kalindi Kunj Park to trapthe alleged person. At about 08.25 pm, one i-10 Hyundai car reached near Kalindi Kunj Park. On the indication of secret informer, the team apprehended the accused.Two oxygen concentrators were recovered from the boot space of his car. On enquiry, the accused was identified as Sayed Faij R/o Greater Noida UP, age 34 yrs.A case FIR no. 157/21 u/s 3/7 Essential commodities Act., 3 Epidemic Diseases Act. & 420/188 IPC was registered at PS Shaheen Bagh. The accused wasarrested and two oxygen concentrator and one car recovered from him wereseized.

On sustained interrogation, the accused Sayed disclosed that he bought the oxygen concentrator machine at Rs 50,000/- each from Matrix company. He wants to earn maximum profit and used to sell on higher prices 1,00,000 to Rs 1,25,000 to the needy persons near the Hospitals in Delhi.
