ONE PRIMARY TEACHER AT SDMC SCHOOL SELECTED USING DUBIOUS MEANS, ARRESTED.

A team of STARS-1, Crime Branch, Delhi constituted under the supervision of ACP Santosh Kumar consisting of Insp. Naresh Solanki, SI Krishan Kumar, HC Deepak, Ct. Om Prakash, Ct. Ghanshyam and Ct. Dheeraj Kumar has arrested one accused person namely Ravi Dabas S/o Sunder Lal Dabas R/o H. No. 576 , Village & PS Kanjhawala, Delhi Age 38 years.

Sh. M. K. Nikhil, Dy. Secretary (Admin), Govt of N.C.T. of Delhi, Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board, FC-18, Institutional Area, Karkardooma, Delhi, forwarded a complaint regarding impersonation in examination conducted for selection of Assistant Primary Teacher & MCD School teacher mentioning that despite of all security measures many candidates managed to make other persons appear in the exam in place of them. A case vide FIR No. 354/19 dated 17/12/2019 u/s 419/420/120-B IPC was registered at PS Crime Branch in this regard. During course of investigation, records/ informations were collected from DSSSB, and Asstt. Director, Education, and found that one Ravi Dabas S/o Sh. Sundar Lal Dabas was selected for the post of MCD Primary teacher and had joined the job on 22.10.2019 at SDMC Primary School, Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. During investigation of the case, video recording of Examination Centre, GBSSS Khanpur, No 1 Delhi, dated 30/11/2018, was obtained from DSSSB, Delhi and was analyzed. Video recording showed entry of candidates appearing in examination and also of the examination hall, but the Ravi Dabas could not be identified at entry point of the examination centre nor in examination hall in the said video recording.

DSSSB had made provision that all appearing candidates had to put their thumb impression on the second copy of the Admit card, which was preserved by DSSSB. Specimen thumb impression of accused Ravi Dabas and questioned thumb impression of appearing candidate taken on the admit card by the invigilator at the examination centre, were sent to Finger Print Bureau for comparison and it was revealed that the thumb impression of accused Ravi Dabas were not identical with the questioned thumb impression. Ravi Dabas S/o Sunder Lal Dabas R/o H. No. 576, Kanjhawala, Delhi, 38 years was arrested in present case on 11.01.2022 and taken on police custody remand to trace and arrest the co accused, who had appeared for him in the examination. Further interrogation and investigation is in progress.

Accused Ravi Dabas, 38 years is graduate from M.D.U., Rohtak, Haryana. He is married and he has two children. He completed his diploma in Education from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. His father is retired from DDA and mother is a retired teacher.

Interrogation of accused revealed that he used the old clean shaven photograph during the process of filling the form at the initial stage. While the person impersonating him appeared in examination centre with beard, which hid his facial contours. Security agencies and invigilators at examination centre could not differentiate /identify the person appearing for him.

Further interrogation of the accused is in progress and efforts are being made to apprehend the co-accused.
