In view of the difficulties facedduring the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic as well as suspicion of expertsabout the possibility of third wave of COVID-19 Delhi Police Central Districtin association with our training partner Star Edu. & Star Imaging Path Labhas initiated basic Covid health care training programme of Yuva Trainees. Inthis grim situation when health care sector is under pressure, employment isprecarious, this scheme aims to utilize our Yuva trainers as frontline health workers.
Ist Batch of 11 YUVA traineeshave been imparted 10 days short term COVID Health Worker basic trainingprogramme under Delhi Police YUVA Initiative, which commenced on 28.05.2021. Oncompletion of Course, Certificates have been issued to all 11 Yuva trainees.Out of them, 08 Yuva trainees have been issued Letter of intent forplacement.
Keeping in view IIIrd wave ofCovid-19 pandemic, 2nd Batch of 20 Yuva trainees will be provided basictraining of Children Health Covid Care & Diagnostics. Specialized trainingwill be provided to newly enrolled Yuva trainees.
On 16.06.2021 Sh. Jasmeet Singh,IPS, DCP/Central District inaugurated Children Health Care Diagnostic Van incollaboration with Sh. Sameer Bhati, Director of Staredu & Star ImagingPath Lab. Children Health Care Diagnostic Van was launched with the motive tofight with next possible third wave of Covid-19. DCP/Central District also interacted with the11 trained candidates & 20 newly enrolled Yuva trainees and congratulatedthem for COVID Health Worker basic training course.
In the process, Central DistrictPolice is creating a pool of healthcare workers and mainstreaming theunder-privileged needy youth, in the fight against Covid-19.
