TWO PERSONS INVOLVED IN THE BLACK MARKETING OF OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR MACHINES HAVE BEEN ARRESTED

Police staff is being motivated and briefed to develop intelligence and collect information about the criminals as well as suspicious strangers roaming in the area and check their records through the E-Beat Book of Delhi Police. They have also been directed to patrol in civil & also to keep an eye on the Jail-Bail released criminals, who have got involved in committing crime again.

A dedicated team of police officials of Special Staff/Dwarka District led by Inspr. Naveen Kumar and comprising SI Nanagram, ASI Jaiveer, HC Rasmuddin, HC Raj Kumar, HC Sandeep and Ct. Upender under the close supervision of ACP/Operations Vijay Singh has arrested two accused persons, who were involved in the black marketing of oxygen concentrator machines.There is a huge demand for oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrator machines tosave the life of Covid patients. Due to this reason, many persons are involved in the black marketing of oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrator machines.Many complaints regarding black marketing of oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrator machines came to notice. After that, several informers were deployed by the special staff of Dwarka District. On 03/05/2021, secret information was received that two persons are selling oxygen concentrator machines in the black market at high value i.e. 1,25,000/- for each oxygen concentrator machine while the actual value of one oxygen concentrator machine costs around Rs 50,000/-.The team of Special Staff Dwarka District was carrying out the exercise to keep the criminal activities at bay when it got the information about the criminal involved in black marketing of Covid related equipment and medicines during the Covid pandemic. On this, a decoy customer was deployed and both the accused persons have been apprehended along with 12 oxygen concentrator machines from the area of PS Dwarka south. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 197/21U/S 3/7 The Essential commodities Act, 3 Epidemic Act and 420/269/188/120B/34 IPC Act was registered at PS Dwarka South. During sustained interrogation,accused persons confessed about this crime and stated that they are involved in black marketing of oxygen concentrator machines to earn quick money from covid patients.
